Stefan Norrgård is a postdoctoral researcher and climate historian at Åbo Akademi University. His research focuses on historical climate variability and the long-term impact/interaction between human societies and climate. In his previous research, Stefan has studied rainfall variability on the Gold Coast in West Africa during the eighteenth century. Currently he is engaged in a project that aims to create a holistic perspective of climate change and impact in Southwest Finland between 1749-2019.
